Zhamanak: Gevorg Safaryan goes on hunger strike

Gevorg Safaryan, a member of ‘New Armenia’ Public Salvation Front, was moved to another cell, following which he went on a hunger strike, ‘Zhamanak’ paper writes.  He was then moved to a cell with inmates on hunger strike. “After a conflict with criminals in that cell, G. Safaryan was placed in a solitary cell. Civic activist Hayk Kyureghyan also began a hunger strike yesterday in support of Safaryan,” the newspaper says.
