Zhoghovurd: Armenian dram still stable

The Russian ruble plunged to 86 rubles per U.S. dollar last evening due to a fall in international oil prices, ‘Zhoghovurd’ says. The ruble traded at 5 drams in Armenian exchange offices.   “Unlike the previous depreciation of the Russian ruble when the Armenian dram also rapidly fell, such a phenomenon has not been observed this time,” the paper notes.
