Armenian chess players made a successful start at Avicenna International Open 2016

Avicenna International Open 2016 has kicked off in Iran with the participation of 67 chess players.  As Chess federation of Armenia reports, the first two rounds are over. Armenian chess players Hovik Hayrapetyan, Hovhannes Gabuzyan, and Davit Petrosyan made a successful start, with Haypapetyan gaining 2 and Gabuzyan and Patrosyan each1,5 points.

To note, GM Alexey Shirov is participating in the tournament as well.
