The number of police officers in Armenia not high, deputy head of Police says

The exact number of police forces of Armenia is secret information and not subject to publication, Deputy Head of Armenian Police Vardan Yeghiazaryan told during the Draft State budget for 2017 discussion held on Monday in the National Assembly.
 
Yeghiazaryan dismissed the claim about too many police forces in Armenia, adding the size of national police forces per inhabitants in Armenia is comparable with the data of Estonia, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia and other states.

Yeghiazaryan next suggested that the Police expenditure -to-GDP ratio in Armenia is not a much burden on the country’s economy, adding the average salary of a police officer comprises AMD 213 thousand.
