Weightlifter Davit Hovhannisyan – European Champion among juniors

Junior and U23 European Weightlifting Championships are underway in Eilat, Israel, where Armenia is represented by 13 athletes.

In the U20 tournament, Armenia’s representative, the 2015 Junior European bronze winner Davit Hovhannisyan lifted 145kg in the snatch and 177kg – in the clean and jerk in the 77kg weight class competition. With a total of 326kg, Davit Hovhannisyan declared European champion among juniors.
