Aronian places second after five rounds at World Rapid Championship in Doha

After five rounds played at World Rapid and Blitz Championship in Qatar’s capital Doha, Ukraine’s representative Anton Korobkov leads the tournament table with 5 points.

Armenian GM Levon Aronian comes the second with 4,5 points, while Armenia’s next representative Hrant Melkumyan is on the 9th place with 4 points.    

The tournament favorites Magnus Carlsen, Maxime Lagrave, Viswanathan Anand, Hikaru Nakamura, and Vassily Ivanchuk have scored 3,5 points.
