Armenian national captain and Manchester United goalscorer Henrikh Mkhitaryan refused to blame the poor pitch conditions on his side's failure to beat Rostov on Thursday. As the Daily Express reports, Mkhitaryan scored the all-important away goal for Manchester United as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Rostov in the first leg of their Europa League round of 16 clash.

The winger finished from close range in the first half after being set-up by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
