Tobacco production decreased by 6.7% in Armenia

In January 2017, the tobacco production reduced by 6.7% in Armenia to compare with the same period of 2016. 

According to the data released by the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in the same period of the previous year Armenia produced 1 million 636.2 thousand units of cigarettes and in January of this year this figure went down to 1 million 527.2 thousand units.

This year the tobacco production share in the general production sphere has made up 14.9%.
