World-known jazz pianist Tigran Hamasyan to perform two concerts in Yerevan
In the framework of ‘An Ancient Observer' Album concert tour, World-known Armenian jazz pianist Tigran Hamasyan will also perform at Armenia’s Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall on 7 and 8 May. Previously it was announced that Tigran Hamasyan will perform a single concert in Yerevan. However, T. Hamasyan informs in a Facebook post that he will hold another concert on May 8 as the tickets for the May 7 concert are sold out for one week already.
In the firework of An Ancient Observer' Album tour, the renowned musician has already performed in different countries worldwide. Concerts in Switzerland, Russia, Japan, Australia and Germany are also scheduled for the coming future.
Born in Gyumri, Armenia in 1987, composer, singer and musician Tigran Hamasyan is as comfortable with jazz as he is with Armenian folk music. Only three years after he began playing piano, he won the Montreux Jazz Festival’s piano competition at the age of 16. He released his debut album at the age of 18, after moving to Los Angeles with his family. He later returned to Armenia, where he taught master classes and found inspiration in his beloved Armenian music.
