Ruben Harutyunyan named French junior chess champion

The French Junior Chess Championships was held from April 16-23 in Belfort, attended by some 1,500 chess players. As the Chess Federation of Armenia reports, in the U14 Championship Armenian Ruben Harutyunyan recorded a great success, showing the best result among the 113 participants and being declared U14 champion of France. 

According to the source, the victory has guaranteed the Armenian player a place in the French National Junior Team with a right to participate in the World and European championships.
