Plane passenger holding Armenian passport arrested for trying to smuggle gold into Lebanon

On April 30, a man holding Armenian passport was arrested at Beirut International Airport on suspicion of smuggling gold after he was stopped when getting off a plane arrived from Istanbul.

Ermenihaber reports, upon inspection, Lebanese custom officers have seized gold jewelry weighting 12.5 kg. Turkish Sabah Daily reported, the man was arrested, whose name has not been revealed yet by the Lebanese Customs Agency.
