Aronian passes the 2800 mark, takes number 4 at FIDE rating list

Armenian GM Levon Aronian, who scored a fantastic win at the Norway Chess tournament,

has raced back into the 2800-club, taking the 4th spot in the FIDE July rankings.

Carlsen remains no.1 with 2822, Vadimir Kramnik (2812) ranks the second and Wesley So (2810) concludes the top three.

Top 100 Men April 2017 features also two Armenian chess players. In particular, Sergei Movsesian (2677) ranks the 67th, Vladimir Hakobyan (2667) comes the 79th.
