Smoking spots detected at Khosrov Forest State Reserve

A reconnaissance flight operated early Friday on the helicopter of the Armenian Defense Ministry over Khosrov Forest State Reserve has detected smoking spots in the impassable areas of the forest, Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations told Panorama.am.

The source informs that the defense ministry’s helicopter transferred the MES special rescue teams to the areas to conduct post-extinguishment works.

According to the weather forecast of the Hydrometeorological Service of the MES, the air temperature is expected to rise during the daytime, therefore the Russian IL-76 water bomber aircraft will continue its flights to prevent renewed outbreaks of fire in the areas, creating humid security zones around the spots.
