Explosion in southeast Turkey kills two soldiers: CNN Turk

Two Turkish soldiers were killed on Monday in the southeastern province of Hakkari after an improvised explosive device detonated, Reuters reports, citing Turkish broadcaster CNN Turk.

The bomb was set off as a Turkish army truck drove past it near the Iraqi border. The members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) (outlawed in Turkey) are believed to be behind the explosion, according to RIA Novosti.
