Armenian national chess team dropped out of top 10 at the European Championships

Armenia’s men’s chess team. playing without its leader Levon Aronyan, played draw with Serbia 2:2 in the last round of the European Chess Championships concluded in Crete, Greece.

As the National Olympic Committee reported, Gabriel Sargsyan claimed victory, while Hovhannes Gabuzyan suffered defeat. Sergey Movsisyan and Hrant Melkumyan ended their games in draw.

The Armenian men’s team was placed 12th, recording the worst result over the recent years.
