Armenia’s Aronian emerged sole leader at FIDE Grand Prix 2017

Following the win against Anish Giri of the Netherlands, Armenian GM Levon Aronian emerged as the sole leader of the FIDE Grand Prix 2017 series underway in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

According to the National Olympic Committee, the Armenian chess star defeated Anish Giri in a beautiful game that ended in the 27th move. 

After four rounds played, Aronian leads the table with three points leaving behind five GMs.
