The Armenian National Assembly adopted in the second reading the draft law aimed at combating domestic abuse in Armenia at today’s extraordinary session.
The bill on “Prevention of domestic violence, protection of domestic violence victims and restoration of solidarity in the family” passed by a vote of 75 in favour, 12 against with 8 abstentions.
During the debates on the draft law, the members of the parliamentary factions announced they would vote freely at their own discretion.
