Carpet production grows by 51.5% in Armenia

Carpet production rose significantly in Armenia in the first trimester of 2018 as compared to the production volumes in the previous year, according to the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (NSS).

According to the source, 5 tons of carpets and carpet coverings have been produced in the republic in January-March 2018 which is 51.5% increase to compare with the production volumes of the same period in 2017.  To note, the production volumes amounted to 3.3 tons in January-March 2017.

To note, carpet production mainly decreased in Armenia in 2017 however the overall production levels constituted growth per annum. The production volumes amounted to 19.8 tons in 2017, constituting 10% growth to compare with the volumes produced in 2016.
