YSU students demand rector’s resignation

Students of the Yerevan State University (YSU) have formed an initiative named “Restart” and staged a protest on Tuesday morning, demanding the resignation of the University rector. The students walked out of the classes and marched through the streets.  The protesters claim about financial abuses and corruption schemes in the University. They also say the University is politicized.

As of 13:00, Rector Aram Simonyan is holding an open discussion with the protesting students.
