Minor quake hits Armenia’s south

The Seismic Protection Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations registered a minor earthquake in southern Armenian late on Monday.

The quake measuring magnitude 1.9 struck 3 kilometers northwest of the town of Dastakert (Syunik region) at 10:18pm (GMT 6:18pm).

The jolts measured magnitude 2-3 points at the epicentre, the service said.

The quake was felt in the town with magnitude 2-3.
