Armenia wins first gold at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games

The Armenian national team has conquered its first gold medal on Thursday in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As the National Olympic Committee reports, weightlifter Karen Margaryan, competing in the 77-weight class competition, was declared champion, scoring 309kg in the double-event.

Margayan, 17, is two-time winner of the European Weightlifting Adults Championships.
