Production of meat, meat products on the rise in Armenia

Armenia saw a rise in the production volumes of meat and meat products in the first nine months of 2018, according to the latest figures released by the National Statistical Committee.

Some 35,425.7 tons of meat were produced in the country from January to September this year, up by 1 percent from the same period last year, when 35,066.7 tons of meat were produced.

Meat products, including sausages, grew strongly by 16.5% percent in the first nine months to stand at 8,551.3 tons.

The production of semi-finished meat products almost doubled in the reporting period to 810.8 tons, the statistics show.
