Armenia's consumer prices up 1% in November

Consumer prices in Armenia rose by 1% in November, from October this year, the country's Statistical Committee told Panorama.am, adding the increase is mainly prompted by the 2.1% rise in food and non-alcoholic beverage prices.

According to the latest figures, for the indicated period prices for food (including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and tobacco) and non-food products rose by 2% and 0.4%, respectively, while service prices increased by 0.2%.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) stood at 101.8% in November 2018 compared to the same month of 2017, making up 101.7%– for food products, 103.7%– for non-food products and 100.7% for – services, the committee said.

Consumer prices increased by 0.7-1.3% in all the Armenian cities under study in November, against October this year. Yerevan saw a 1.1% rise in consumer prices last month.
