Artsakh soldier wounded in shooting; condition moderate

A soldier of the Artsakh Defense Army was reportedly wounded in a shooting on Sunday.

Rafik H. Vahanyan, 19, suffered a gunshot wound at around 3:50pm at the protection area of a military unit in the southern direction, the Artsakh Defense Ministry said.

The wounded serviceman was immediately taken to the military hospital, with his condition assessed as moderate.

An investigation into the circumstances behind the incident is underway, the ministry said.
