The Seismic Protection Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations detected a minor earthquake near an Armenian village on Wednesday, shortly after midnight.
A magnitude 2.7 quake struck 10 kilometers southeast off the village of Ashotsk (Syunik Province) at 12:09am (GMT 8:09pm, Tuesday).
The jolts measured magnitude 3-4 points at the epicenter, the ministry said.
The quake was felt in the villages of Bavra and Ashotsk with magnitude 3 points.
