Levon Aronian out of top 10 at Gibraltar Masters 2019

Gibraltar Masters Chess festival ends today. Leading Armenian chess player Levon Aronian lost the game in Round 10 to David Howell of England. Aronian, who won the tournament last year, scored 6.5 points out of 10 and slips out of the top 10.

Another Armenian player Hrant Melkumyan continues the game against Davit Navara. After nine rounds played, Melkumyan has scored 6.5 points. Vladislav Artemiev has taken the sole lead going into the final round of the tournament.
