Friday morning update on road conditions

Ground blizzard hit Goris-Sisian roadway and the road section connecting the Sevan Peninsula to Dilijan Tunnel as of Friday, 9:30am, Armenia’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies said in a daily road condition update.

Goris-Sisian highway is partly covered with black ice. Vardenyants Pass is shut down for cargo and trailer trucks and difficult to pass for passenger vehicles due to snowstorm.

Road maintenance works are underway, the ministry said.

All the other interstate and republican highways in the country are open for traffic.
