‘Mother tongue is your honor’: Paylan tweets in Armenian

Turkish-Armenian MP Garo Paylan, representing the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), took to Twitter to make a post in Armenian on the International Mother Language Day marked on 21 February.

In his post, the lawmaker called for native language improvement, stressing it is each person’s honor.

“Mother tongue is peace.

Mother tongue is justice.

Mother tongue is solidarity, equality.

Mother tongue is your identity, your honor… Improve your mother tongue!” he tweeted.
