Authorities investigating 3-year-old’s death in Yerevan kindergarten

Authorities are investigating the death of a 3-year-old child in a Yerevan kindergarten, the Investigative Committee told Panorama.am.

According to preliminary information, the child went to sleep after a lunch in the kindergarten on Monday, March 4, starting to make wheezing sounds a few minutes later. When the caregiver approached the youngster, she had vomited and was unresponsive.

The 3-year-old was immediately hospitalized at the Arabkir Medical Center but was already dead upon arrival.

A criminal case has been launched into negligence and violation of safety requirements. A preliminary probe is underway.

Authorities are taking all the necessary measures to ensure a comprehensive and objective investigation of the incident.
