NSS: Fruit and vegetable prices up in Armenia in April 2019

The food prices reduced by 0.8% in Armenia in April 2019 to compare with March of the same year, which was mainly prompted by 1.8% deflation in vegetable, 1.6% - in meat as well as oils and fats product groups.

According to the data released by the National Statistical Service (NSS), 12.2% inflation was recorded in vegetable product group in Armenia in April 2019, compared to April 2018.

The prices for meat and fish products rose by 2.1% to compare with April 2018 and 1.6% deflation in comparison with March 2019.

According to the NSS data, the prices for dairy products, cheese and egg product groups rose by 1.8% in April 2019 to compare with the same period of 2018 and dropped by 0.6% to compare with March of the ongoing year.
