Artsakh current and former presidents appeared in Yerevan court

Artsakh president Bako Sahakyan and his predecessor Arkady Ghukasyan arrived in Yerevan court on Thursday to offer personal guarantees to the Armenian court for the release of Armenia’s ex-President Robert Kocharyan from pre-trial detention. 

The court is hearing the motion of the ex-president’s defense team to free Kocharyan from pre-trial detention. 

People at the court room greeted the presidents with applause. Sahakyan and Ghukasyan next hugged with Kocharyan. Arkady Ghukasyan read out the letter of the guarantee, and the court informed them about their rights and responsibilities as set by the Criminal Code of Armenia for providing personal guarantees.
