Artsakh soldier honored with posthumous award

Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan on Sunday signed a decree on posthumously awarding Defense Army serviceman Sipan Melkonyan with the "For Service in Battle" medal for bravery shown during the defense of the Artsakh state border, the presidential press service said.

Melkonyan, 19, was fatally wounded in Azerbaijani gunfire in a south-eastern military post on Saturday morning.
