Magnitude 3.1 quake hits Azerbaijan; felt in Artsakh

The Seismic Protection Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations detected a magnitude 3.1 earthquake in the territory of Azerbaijan on Sunday, at 10:23pm local time (GMT 6 :23pm).

The earthquake struck 15 km southwest of the city of Barda at a depth of 10km.

The tremor measured magnitude 4 points at the epicenter.

The jolts were also felt in Artsakh’s (Nagorno-Karabakh) Martakert town with magnitude 2-3 points.
