Norway Chess: Armenia’s Aronian beats Wesley So in sixth round

Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian defeated Wesley So (the United States) in the sixth round of 2019 Altibox Norway Chess tournament played on Monday, Panorama.am learned from the official website of the tournament.

Scoring a total of 7.5 points, the Armenian chess star holds the third place. World champion Magnus Carlsen (Norway) leads the table with 9.5 points, while Yu Yangyi (China) comes second with 8 points.

Aronian is set to face Yu Yangyi in round 7 of the tournament.
