Artsakh soldier killed in Azerbaijani shooting

A private of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Army was fatally wounded by Azerbaijani gunfire in a northern military post on Thursday, at around 5:05pm local time.

The soldier is identified as Artyom Khachatryan.

An investigation into the incident is underway.

In an official statement, the Defense Ministry said it shares the heavy grief of the loss and expresses its support to the family and fellow servicemen of the deceased.
