FIFA reportedly considering moving World Cup away from Qatar

The International Football Association is holding secret meetings to discuss the possibility of denying Qatar to organize the World Cup 2022 after a long series of scandals associated with the large file of the World Cup, The Sun reported. 

 

The paper reminds that the French police investigated the former UEFA president Michel Platini for corruption and buying votes linked to the World Cup. The International Federation has seriously considered the possibility of awarding the World Cup to an alternative country.

 

Platini was released after hearing him in the case being investigated. The British newspaper said the English fans still hoped that England could organize the World Cup instead of Qatar if the International Federation decided to do so.
