Pashinyan: 3.8bn drams saved in pensions, allowances in first half-year

Armenia’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has saved 3.8 billion drams in pensions and allowances in the first half of 2019, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in a Facebook post.

“Can we say that this is a result of a consistent fight against corruption in those areas and an increase in efficiency? Yes, we can,” the PM said. 

“These savings will be used to fund other social security programs not funded for many years,” he added.
