Aleppo named Syria’s cultural capital

The Syrian Ministry of Culture has declared Aleppo the cultural capital of Syria after a break of 13 years, Aleppo-based Kantsasar newspaper reported.

Syria will host various exhibitions and events for one month, bringing together more than 1,000 participants from Damascus and Aleppo, the newspaper said.
