Armenian chess players claim silver and bronze at U20

Armenia’s representative grandmaster  Shant  Sargsyan has claimed silver at the U20 World Chess Championships being held in India, while another member of the Armenian team Aram Hakobyan won bronze.

As the National Olympic Committee reported, Sargsyan scored 8.5 points out of 11, while Hakobyan 8 points.

In the women’s tournament Armenia’s Mariam Avetisyan scored 6.5 points and was placed the 23rd.
