Bath designed by Ottoman-Armenian architect put up for sale in Turkey

A 16th-century bath designed by renowned Ottoman-Armenian architect Mimar Sinan has been put up for sale in Turley at 2.5 million euros, Ermenihaber reports.

The bath is located in the historic Balat neighborhood of Istanbul.

Turkish citizens oppose the plan to sell the 437-year-old bath, stressing the historical building should be restored rather than sold.

According to the source, the ancient bath currently serves as a car service center.
