Five prison employees infected with coronavirus in Armenia

Five security employees of the Vardashen Penitentiary in Yerevan have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, the Ministry of Justice reported.

All five infected employees have been hospitalized, the ministry said.

They are members of the external security team of the correction facility and do not have any contact with the detainees and inmates.

28 other security staffers of the prison have been quarantined pending test results, the ministry said.
