New chief of Central Bank of Armenia to assume duties on June 13

Martin Galstyan will take up his duties as Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) on June 13, the bank said in a statement.

The Armenian National Assembly voted 104 to 15 to elect Martin Galstyan new Central Bank chief on Friday, April 17.

Galstyan was the sole candidate for the post.

He has held various positions in the CBA for two decades. Galstyan has been a member of the bank’s governing board since 2018.
