A state-sponsored program to treat breast cancer with the expensive drug trastuzumab (Herceptin) got underway in Armenia, including at the National Center of Oncology of the Armenian Ministry of Health, in late March.
Naira Janoyan, the head of the Department of General and Pediatric Chemotherapy at the National Center of Oncology, told an interview on 30 July what types of breast cancer the medicine is used to treat and how patients can be included in the program.
