Armenia reports 139 fresh coronavirus cases, nine more deaths on August 22

Armenia has confirmed 139 new coronavirus infections in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 42,616 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22, the Ministry of Health reports.
 

214 more patients have beaten COVID-19 with the total number of recoveries now standing at 35,907. The coronavirus death toll has increased by 9 to 1,104 - 254 of whom  diagnosed positive for coronavirus but the cause of the death was another disease. The latest victims were 62 (female), 64 (female), 59 (female), 87 (male), 92 (male), 90 (female), 62 (male) and 51 (female) year-old and had underlying chronic health conditions.

 

As many as 193,693  tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
