Armenia reports 543 new coronavirus cases on October 3

Armenia has confirmed 543 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 51,925 as of 11 a.m. Saturday, October 3, the Ministry of Health reports.

177 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 44,583.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 6 to 972. The latest victims were 66 (female), 68 (male), 61 (female), 65 (male), 72 (female) and 83 (female) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions. Another person carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.

The number of active cases is 6,068. As many as 303,707 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak, the ministry said.
