Armenia reports 1,234 new coronavirus cases on October 20

Armenia has confirmed 1,234 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 66,694 as of 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, the Ministry of Health reports.

526 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 48,734.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 10 to 1,101. The latest victims were 54 (male), 67 (male), 52 (female), 58 (male), 49 (female), 83 (female), 58 (male), 82 (male), 70 (female) and 49 (male) years old. Except for the last one, all had underlying chronic health conditions.

Two other patients carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.

The number of active cases is 16,541. As many as 352,764 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
