Armenia reports record 2,306 new coronavirus cases on October 22

Armenia has reported a new record single-day increase in coronavirus infections, with the total rising by 2,306 to 70,836 as of 11 a.m. Thursday, October 22.

As the Health Ministry reports, 568 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 49,787.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 10 to 1,131. The latest victims were 66 (female), 81 (female), 69 (male), 73 (female), 70 (male), 68 (male), 69 (male), 70 (female), 60 (female) and 58 (male) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions. Six other patients carrying the virus died from other causes in the past 24 hours.

The number of active cases is 19,591. As many as 362,293 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
