US says humanitarian ceasefire to take effect on October 26 in Nagorno-Karabakh

A humanitarian ceasefire will take affect in Nagorno-Karabakh at 08:00 a.m. local time on October 26, 2020, according to a joint statement from the US State Department and Governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
 
"The United States facilitated intensive negotiations among the Foreign Ministers and the Minsk Group Co-Chairs to move Armenia and Azerbaijan closer to a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," the statement said, released by the State Department.
 
To note, the two previous ceasefires on 10 and 17 October, broke down within minutes.
 
In a separate statement, the OSCE Minsk Group, formed to mediate the conflict and led by France, Russia and the United States, said its co-chairs and foreign ministers would meet again on October 29 to discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
