Christian monuments will face the fate of David Gareja Monastery in Azerbaijan, Georgian writer says

Georgian writer, publicist Irakli Kakabidze reflected on the reports of vandalism of the Ghazanchetsots (Holy Savior) Cathedral in the town of Shushi. "Azerbaijan is treating the Armenian Christian monuments in the same way, it did with David Gareja Monastery. The destruction and appropriation of Christian monuments continue. No to vandalism," Kakabidze wrote on Facebook.

To remind, as reported earlier, Azerbaijanis had vandalized the Ghazanchetsots (Holy Savior) Cathedral in the town of Shushi.Photos showing the Azerbaijani vandalism circulated on social media. Following the incident, the Armenian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sport appealed to international structures, demanding to adhere to their adopted mission, take practical and decisive steps to prevent and condemn the cases of vandalism by Azerbaijan.
