Human rights activist: Around 20 Armenian public figures detained for 72 hours

Nearly 20 Armenian public figures were detained for 72 hours for organizing and holding a rally demanding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation, human rights activist Ruben Melikyan said late on Friday.

“About 20 public figures were detained for 72 hours for ‘organizing and holding a rally’ demanding the removal of the supreme traitor. About 200 people were detained and released a few hours later.

“The crisis of dignity continues,” he wrote on Facebook.
